From Circuits to Qi: My Story of Transformation
After being an engineer in the semiconductor industry for over a decade, validating microchips, I thought I had it all – a successful career, financial stability, and a sense of accomplishment. Even though innovation was exciting, there was a constant struggle to overcome stress and pressure which resulted in chronic shoulder pain, a constant reminder that something needs to change. Despite trying various conventional treatments, the pain persisted.
When I discovered acupuncture as a possibility, I turned to this ancient practice, and my life changed forever. The gentle, comprehensive approach of acupuncture combined with the personalized, ancient wisdom of Ayurveda not only alleviated my shoulder pain but healed other internal disturbances within me and awakened a deep sense of calling within me. Hence, I bid farewell to my engineering career to embark on a new journey as an Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine Practitioner strongly rooted in Ayurvedic principles.
Now, as a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, I am dedicated to guiding my patients toward feeling their personal best. With my engineering background, I bring uniqueness to my practice by blending precision and analytical thinking into healing combined with intuition to craft personalized treatment plans that address physical, mental emotional, and spiritual health.
My approach is rooted in the principles of Ayurveda, emphasizing simple, plant-based nutrition, and lifestyle changes tailored to an individual’s constitution. I’m trained in various acupuncture styles, including Japanese (Meridian Therapy, Kiiko Style, and Shimamura Style) along with Traditional Chinese Medicine, and timeless principles of Chinese Classical medicine and incorporate techniques like kinesiology, cupping, and herbal medicine to support the healing process.
With my training in Kinesiology, I can integrate this modern insight with Acupuncture to address the root cause and the symptoms of various conditions.
My journey has taught me that true healing happens when the mind and body are in balance. I strive to reclaim this balance by empowering individuals to partner with me and be part of this wellness journey. I am happy to help patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics, to unlock their full potential.
